Evanescence

Evanescence se formó por la cantante Amy Lee y el guitarrista Ben Moody. Ambos se nocieron en julio de 1994 en un campamento para jóvenes, en donde Moody escuchó a Lee tocando «I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)» de Meat Loaf en el piano.
El grupo previamente había estado utilizando nombres como Childish Intentions y Stricken, hasta que Ben Moody eligió la palabra «Evanescence».
